FIGAWI
Over 240 boats & thousands of sailors convene on Memorial Day Weekend for the Northeast's first major regatta. For over 40 years the FIGAWI has started at the Hyannis Yacht Club with Friday evening check-ins as the crews and boats assemble in Lewis Bay. The official start of the race from Hyannis to Nantucket is Saturday morning. The Reverse FIGAWI on Monday returns sailors to the Hyannis Yacht Club for trophy presentations and a cocktail party.
Many of the Hyannis Yacht Club's yachtsmen and yachtswomen participate in the race while many others volunteer to help officiate the race and provide other services to FIGAWI related events
